Harvest

October is here, and in the Northern Hemisphere, that often means the days are flush with falling leaves, chilling weather, and growing anticipation for the holiday season. The tenth month, October, shares a root with octopus and octagon—the Latin octo and Greek okto, meaning “eight.” Like the number “three”, “eight” is also symbol of prosperity, wealth, peace and fertility. October is typically the time of the year when farmers reap their harvest, hoping that their crop will prove to be abundant. Since it is the time to harvest the hard work you have put in I want to remind you and myself that life, your work, your relationships, and your healing are not a competition. We live in a world and society where we have to measure everything by how much we have and how successful we are so we push so hard, work so hard to have more, be better...
